Our client is a U.S.-based software development company dedicated to innovating the retail sector by empowering businesses with intuitive point-of-sale (POS) solutions. These solutions simplify and streamline store management processes. With over a decade of market presence, their POS product—launched in 2016—serves as a seamless, next-generation replacement for Microsoft® Retail Management System (RMS). Designed for small-to-medium retailers, the product features a touchscreen-friendly and user-friendly interface, enabling quick and easy onboarding for staff. As their client portfolio grows and their customers' needs expand, our client is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their team, who will play a key role in defining, implementing, and executing the test automation strategy for their product suit. Senior QA Automation Engineer 


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members, including Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers, to create test plans and cases aligned with work item acceptance criteria.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests using the test automation framework.
  • Develop and execute manual test cases and scenarios, performing functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Formulate test strategies for both manual and automation scopes in collaboration with team members and business stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Analyze test results, generate reports, and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, design workshops, Release/Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, and Retrospectives.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, providing potential solutions as needed.
  • Engage in code reviews to track, analyze, and resolve defects.
  • Contribute to research efforts for new techniques and tools relevant to software testing.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, C#, MS SQL (T-SQL), HTML, CSS, and XML.
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Test Manager framework.
  • Familiarity with the Robot Framework for test automation is an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience testing applications developed in C#, WPF/XAML, MVVM, and optionally, UWP. 
  • Solid understanding of the full system development lifecycle.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve root causes of issues. 
  • Experience with Python for Test Automation will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English.
