Job description

Sales Agent

Sales Agent

For our client, a Bachelor Party Agency (junggesellenabschied agentur), we are seeking an ambitious German speaking Sales Agent to help organise and sell awesome weekend trips to the customers.

The Job

As Sales Agent with Pissup Tours, your job will be to call new potential customers who have sent an enquiry to the company via their website and help uncover their wishes for an exciting bachelor party. It is your job to catch the interest of the group and either send them an offer or pass them on to a Senior Account Manager for assistance with tailormaking their event.
The position is work-from-home / fully remote with a good fixed income and a commission on top. We are looking to hire a candidate that can develop with the company into a Senior Account Manager over 1-2 years. You will be physically working together with a Senior Account Manager on a weekly basis, the other days you work from home.
During 3-4 months of high season, the job is quite work-intensive and requires probably 50 hours/week, but in low season it is more relaxed and less than 30 hours/week. Time of work is flexible, but customers generally prefer to speak in the late afternoon / early evenings and less so in the mornings (when you can catch up on emails).
You will be working alongside one of the company’s experienced Account Managers and receive training, coaching and hands-on experience from Day 1. We expect you to be motivated, ready to perform and be a good colleague every day. There is zero cold calling, as all leads are warm, but you are expected to engage with the customers, storytell, inspire and sell them their dream trip. Being able to manage many customers, prioritizing leads and being good on the phone are key skills.

Who is our client?

Pissup Tours is the industry’s best reviewed Bachelor Party company and they have been organizing unforgettable party weekends all over Europe since 2001. They send more than 35,000 customers a year to more than 30 different destinations. They have seen high growth in recent years and are ready for a record-breaking 2024 season. They offer the opportunity to earn well while working professionally with some of the most fun products in the world.
They are a small company, which gives you the opportunity to help shape the future path. It also means they do not have everything sorted already and some problems are being solved on the go. It is important you understand this difference vs working for a big corporation.

Who are we looking for?

A native level German-speaking junior sales agent, with a talent for sales and a passion for party and travel. You must be a sales person at heart and hungry for closing. You are motivated by the challenge of helping the company conquer the market and celebrate your success together. You are professional, have a high work ethic and understand that the job is seasonal with long hours half of the year and time to relax the other half. You understand that while there is a fixed salary, it is through your commission that you earn well.
If you happen to speak French, Scandinavian or British-English, that is a big plus.

As a minimum, you have:

  • Some experience within sales on any level
  • Proven native level German, both written and spoken
  • Proficient business level English

Non-essential experience that would be a plus:

  • Experience or education from the tourism or event industry is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus, but not required
  • If your sales experience involves inbound sales handled via phone and email, this is a plus

What we expect from you:

  • You are motivated by generating sales and thereby income for the company and for you
  • You love being on the phone with clients and help them organize amazing events
  • You are willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy and close the sale
  • You revel in positive feedback from clients and criticism helps you improve
  • You understand that in a remote position, so feedback is crucial
  • You are a great colleague, willing to help out and step in when needed
  • You are a fast learner and have a problem solving attitude
  • You are organized, trustworthy and with high self-discipline – and understand the principles of self-management and self-motivation
  • You accept that the job may include odd working hours, since many customers prefer talking in the late afternoon

What the company is offering you:

  • A full-time position (40 hours/week)
  • A good fixed salary plus a no-limit commission
  • The chance to develop into a Senior Account Manager with a very high commission
  • A bonus for your first 2 months while you build your pipeline
  • Flexibility when needed in terms of working hours
  • Build up experience within the travel and event industry in specific, and working multinationally in general
  • Company trips to visit destinations and fun events with colleagues to celebrate our success together.
  • The best job you have ever had.

What’s next?

Send us your cover letter and CV, and we will look it over. Relevant candidates will be called for a first interview in English and German for testing your language skills. We hope to sort out the right candidate within 2-3 weeks if everything goes well.
Job start is as soon as possible, but the company is willing to wait for the right candidate.
