Introduction
As an (assistant) technician, you will learn the trade through a versatile and broad range of tasks. Eventually, you will be partially responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric underfloor heating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing underfloor heating systems: This includes laying heating cables or mats in the floor and connecting the system to the power supply and thermostat.
- Testing and commissioning the system: After installation, the system must be tested to ensure it works correctly and that the temperature can be properly regulated.
- Performing maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the system operates optimally and to prevent issues. The technician will inspect the underfloor heating for wear, loose connections, and any damage to the heating cables.
- Carrying out repairs: When problems arise with the underfloor heating system, the technician is responsible for identifying the cause and performing necessary repairs.
- Advising customers: The technician can advise customers on using the system, setting the thermostat, and other aspects of underfloor heating.
