Introduction
Do you want to play an active role in shaping the future of agriculture? We are looking for a motivated Junior Field Researcher in Agronomy who wants to contribute to innovative field research in the Netherlands. As a junior team member, you'll gain practical experience and develop skills in a field critical to global food supply and sustainability.
Collaborating with an enthusiastic team, you will work on field trials that directly support sustainable agricultural solutions and improve food production.
Work Schedule:
- March to October: Fieldwork, 4-5 days per week.
- November to February: Greenhouse or office tasks, 2-3 days per week. Flexibility is expected during this period to manage accrued overtime.
Responsibilities
- Conduct various fieldwork tasks according to established protocols, including planting, sowing, and harvesting.
- Propose improvements to workflows, protocols, and quality standards.
- Supervise and support temporary staff during peak seasons.
- Maintain equipment and manage inventory.
- Keep accurate records of completed tasks.
- Follow weekly schedules and provide feedback where necessary.
- Report observations and deviations in the field proactively, with attention to detail.

Who Are You?
You are a recent graduate or early-career professional passionate about agriculture, sustainability, and field research. Ready to gain hands-on experience, you possess:
- At least an MBO-level qualification, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- A driver’s license (B, preferably BE).
- Strong command of the Dutch language and excellent communication skills.
- A precise and structured working style.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and seasons.
- The ability to work independently, take initiative, and excel in a team environment.
- EU passport or work permit holder
