Additional Info

The place is a full service hotel with 200 rooms and suites situated in one of Norway’s top tourist attractions on the west coast of Norway by the sea. The hotel has two restaurants (400+44 seats), banquet hall, outdoor serving, three bars and café. The hotel present good Norwegian cuisine based on the very best ingredients from local producers and farms. The Hotel is looking for experienced confectionary for working with desserts and different types of cakes; wedding cakes and traditional Norwegian cakes, f.e.: different cheese cakes, mousse cakes, butter and nut cakes, marzipan covered cakes, carrot cake, Brownies, baked cinnamon buns. From desserts: homemade ice creams, sorbets, mousse au chocolate and other types, Creme Bruleè, Pannacotta and some petits fours, also homemade chocolate.

Working period: Now to September, possibility to prolong.

 
  • Job requirements
    • Good candidate is preferably educated in field, has previous similar working experiences from preparing for big volumes, all in all for at least ca 4 years, and preferably from Scandinavia also; has understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations.
    •  Minimum 4 years of experience pastry experience.
    • Good attitude
    • Ability to work in a fast pace environment

    • English minimum B1 level is a must

    • Working in the pastry section
    • working with desserts and different types of cakes; wedding cakes and traditional Norwegian cakes, f.e.: different cheese cakes, mousse cakes, butter and nut cakes, marzipan covered cakes, carrot cake, Brownies, baked cinnamon buns.
    • From desserts: homemade ice creams, sorbets, mousse au chocolate and other types, Creme Bruleè, Pannacotta and some petits fours, also homemade chocolate.
  • Remuneration
    • Salary - 240 NOK per hour gross
    • Overtime 50%.
    • Additions when working in the evenings, nights, on weekends and some holidays.
    • Normal working hours are 154 hours/month, guaranteed to the employee.
    • Accommodation is payable by employee, NOK 4000 including utilities
    • Food - employees can buy groceries and prepare meals on their own
    • Help and instructions by the company with different official registrations in Norway including at the tax office and UDI.
    • Tickets will be arranged and may be deducted from first salary.
