We are currently recruiting a Client Services Accountant for their Sofia office
The successful candidate for the position of a Client Services Senior Accountant will manage client accounts, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide strategic financial advice. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, overseeing audits, managing tax filings, and maintaining client relationships. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
The Client Services Accountant will have the following responsibilities
– Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash flow projections.
– Review the work of other service providers (property and asset managers) and follow up with them.
– Obtain in-depth knowledge of all client structures, including shareholders, cross-border transactions, tax structures, and activities.
– Ensure compliance with client reporting requirements.
– Coordinate and follow up on client meetings and deliverables.
– Work with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
– Collaborate with corporate tax advisors and lawyers for local compliance processes.
– Gain knowledge of various reporting frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, INREV, and LUX GAAP.
– Ensure the team meets deadlines for deliverables, including financial statements, reports, tax declarations, and general meetings.
– Review deliverables prepared by other team members, such as management accounts, annual accounts, reports, tax returns (including VAT), agendas, board packs, minutes, and payment instructions. Provide coaching and guidance where necessary.
Required skills
University degree in accounting, finance or economics
Minimum 2 years professional experience in accounting in Big 4 or an international financial service provider is a strong advantage
Previous experience with international Real Estate / Private Equity structures is an advantage
Strong working knowledge of IFRS
Experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements is an advantage
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, any other language is a plus
Experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software
Excellent analytical, problem solving and logical thinking skills
Ability to work under pressure, autonomously, keep within tight deadlines and multi-task
Strong motivation to work in a quickly growing, dynamic and challenging environment
